Are dentures uncomfortable?
Dr. Folck customizes each set of dentures to fit precisely in your mouth. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and the latest cosmetic dental procedures, Dr. Michael Folck is able to provide you with dentures that fit comfortably and naturally into your mouth.

Depending on the type of dentures you require, it is possible that your jaw will shrink over time. If this happens, Dr. Folck will readjust your dentures to restore comfort and function.

Do dentures look fake?
Dentures provided by experienced cosmetic dentist Dr. Michael Folck are customized for each patient. Taking the shape and size of your face and mouth into account, Dr. Folck is able to create dentures that look as natural as the teeth you were born with.

With an eye towards artistry, Dr. Folck can seamlessly blend your dentures in with your natural teeth, strengthening your smile and eliminating cosmetic imperfections.

How long do dentures last?
There is no set length of time that dentures will last. The artificial teeth themselves can last a lifetime, but as you age the structure of your jaw will change. As your jaw changes, your dentures may become ill-fitted to your mouth. When this happens, Dr. Folck will assess whether your dentures can be readjusted and realigned, or if a new set of dentures will be required.

Do dentures require an adhesive to stay in place?
Depending on the type of denture you require, you may need an adhesive to keep your dentures in place. If your dentures are held into place with a dental implant, they will simply snap into place and will not require additional support. However, if a dental implant is not used, over the counter denture adhesives will work to secure your dentures to your gums.

How do I clean my dentures?
Dentures, like your natural teeth, require daily brushing and flossing. While sturdy enough to handle tasks like biting and chewing, dentures can break if dropped onto a hard surface. It is important to care for your dentures with a towel over any hard surfaces to reduce the risk of breakage. Dr. Folck will instruct you in proper denture care during your initial consultation.
