The procedure

The procedure for porcelain crowns takes place over two office visits. During your first visit, any decay will be removed, and the tooth prepared to accept your new crown. Once your tooth is ready, we will take a custom mold that we will send to the dental lab. We will then fit you with a temporary crown until you arrive for the second part of your procedure.

By the time you arrive for your second appointment, we will have your new custom porcelain crown ready for you. We will remove your temporary crown, clean and prepare the tooth, and then use a strong, permanent dental adhesive to attach your crown. We will make any final adjustments to ensure that your new crown fits properly and comfortably, and meets your expectations.

Once you're happy with your new crown, you can resume normal activities right away.
