How Pure Power Mouthguard Works

The position of your lower jaw may not be in proper alignment. This can cause a host of problems from postural issues, to problems with your airways. When your lower jaw is out of alignment, you may compensate for local muscle inflammation by holding your head at an undesirable angle. This in turn affects your entire posture. The Pure Power Mouthguard brings your jaw back into alignment, correcting over compensation from your head, and thus improving your overall posture.

The Pure Power Mouthguard is custom-fitted to your teeth after the ideal position of your jaw has been determined. A special machine called a TENS unit is used to find your optimal bite position, ensuring tension is released from your face, neck, and shoulders, and also providing maximum airway opening for increased oxygen flow. Once the optimal position has been recorded, an impression of your teeth will be created that will allow Dr. Folck to create the custom-fitted mouth piece. The mouth guard itself takes about a week to be created.
